What is the most important information I should know about temazepam?
Do not use if you are pregnant. This medicine can cause birth defects or withdrawal symptoms that can put a newborn’s life at risk.
Temazepam can create habit. Incorrect use of a medication that creates habit can cause addiction, overdose or death.
Temazepam can cause a severe allergic reaction. Stop taking temazepam and seek emergency medical attention if you notice any of these symptoms of an allergic reaction : hives; difficulty breathing; nausea, vomiting, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat.
How should I take temazepam?
Follow the instructions on the label of your prescription. Never use temazepam in larger amounts, or for longer than prescribed. Tell your doctor if your medicine no longer works as well as before to relieve your pain.
Temazepam can create habit. Never share temazepam with another person, especially someone with a history of drug abuse or addiction. Keep the medicine in a place where others cannot find it.
You should not even share this medicine with another person who has the same symptoms you have.

Take temazepam only when you are preparing to sleep for several hours. You could fall asleep very quickly after taking this medicine.
Do not take temazepam unless you can sleep the entire night before you are active again.
This medicine may cause unusual results in certain medical tests. Tell any doctor who treats you that you are using temazepam.
